1. Translate the brief into a shortlist
The first discussion should capture market, channel, product family, target cost, order quantity, language and launch date. A focused shortlist is more useful than a large catalog dump because each candidate can be checked against the same commercial criteria.
2. Freeze the sample configuration
Record model, colour, chipset or platform, firmware, included accessories and packaging version for every sample. Photograph labels and interfaces. A sample without a traceable configuration cannot become a reliable approval reference.
3. Review branding and user experience
Approve logo position, boot screen, watch face or prompts, application naming, manuals and regulatory marks where relevant. English and Spanish copy should be reviewed in context because the same phrase may not fit every screen or package panel.
4. Confirm the commercial specification
Replace placeholders with verified values and hide fields that do not apply. The quotation, product page and purchase order should use the same model name and agreed configuration. Any alternative component needs a documented approval path.
5. Approve packaging and pre-production sample
Check dimensions, inserts, accessories, barcode placement, carton marks and drop-test requirements. The pre-production sample becomes the reference for colour, assembly, content and presentation.
6. Inspect production and retain records
Inspection should follow the approved criteria and sampling plan. Retain photographs, reports and versioned commercial data so repeat orders begin from a known state rather than from memory.
